Graham Henry Satterwhite

Wow, what a first week. I've met so many people and done so many things (well, I guess haven't really done too many things -- I just eat, sleep, and --). I met my Grandpa and Grandma Cash on the day I was born -- they came to the Hospital. On the day after I was born, I met my Great-grandma (Nanny) and Great-grandpa (Grandad) Cash and Great-grandma (Bird) Rife. All at the same time. Grandpa Cash held me for about an hour.

My parents finally got to take me home last Friday -- but only on the condition that they give me a name. I think they finally gave me a name about ten minutes before we went home (ok, maybe it was an hour). But I like my name - Graham Henry -- even though I can alread hear the kids in junior high calling me "Graham Cracker." And no, before you ask, Graham is not a family name (but Henry is). When I got home, there was this pretty Blue wreath on my door and ribbons on the trees, thanks to my mom's friends Cyndi, Joanna, and Jessica.

Well, after I got home, it didn't take dad long to learn that little boys (that's me) like to go to the bathroom when they don't have a diaper on. And if I remember right, dad first learned about this trick in the middle of the night. At least I have a sense of humor.

I think I kept my parents up all night on Saturday night. I may have cried a little bit -- but I had to show them who was boss. Here's a picture showing that I do know how to sleep....

I met my Aunt Tara on Friday. She seemed quite happy to see me. She stayed with me and my mom most of the day on Saturday.

Here's a picture of Aunt Tara holding me.

On Sunday, my Grandma and Grandpa Satterwhite came to town from Baltimore, Maryland, along with my aunt Rachel. Everyone keeps telling me it is a good thing that I came early, because Rachel (who lives in Thailand and was going back on 9/5) would not have had a chance to meet me if I'd been full term. I'm glad I got a chance to meet her too.

Here are some more pictures. My daddy told me the outfit I am wearing in the picture with my mom was made by my Grandma -- and my mom and Aunt Tara wore it home from the hospital. And no, mom and dad did not drive with me in mom's lap -- we were taking a picture to mimic a picture of Grandma and Shay when they came home from the hospital.

Here is a picture of my Grandma (MeMe) and Grandpa (Papa) Satterwhite.

Don't my parents look proud?

How wonderful! I love Graham's name! The pictures are great! Shay, you and your sister look a lot alike (which I'm sure you've been told a few times.)
Thank you so much for sharing this specail time.
