Eating Real (Baby) Food

Ever since we got home from vacation, I have been eating real (baby) food. It is so yummy. I eat rice cereal and one breakfast item in the morning -- usually applesauce or nanners (bananas). I also eat real food for dinner. I've had sweet potatoes, green beans, and squash. My favorites are sweet potatoes and nanners. I don't like green beans. Doll has to trick me to eat green beans. She feeds me one spoonful of sweet potatoes and then alternates with a spoonful of green beans. I like real food.

Last weekend, my mommy and daddy took me on a walk on Sunday. Leo went on the walk with us. It was so fun -- we started in the park and we walked a mile each way.

This weekend, my MiMi and Papa are visiting -- and my Papa got to watch me eat a meal. Here's a picture.

The Beach Part Deux

Like I told you in my last entry, my mommy and daddy (and Doll and Granddad) took me to the beach the first week of March. For the most part I liked it. I really liked my pineapple hat. The biggest problem with the beach was the sand. Sand seemed to get all over everything, including my toys. And since I like to stick all of my toys in my mouth, it seemed like I always had sand in my mouth. But mommy and daddy said I did a really good job of taking naps on the beach and I didn't even get sunburned! I think me and my daddy were the whitest guys on the beach.

This picture is my first shot at modeling. If I don't make it big as a baby, maybe one of the baby or vacation magazines will want to pick me up as a baby model. Then I could be in the sand all the time!

Below I am the star in the picture of my parents and grandparents. By the way, my daddy loves pictures of sunsets. He came home with 180 pictures of vacation, but at least 60 of those pictures were pictures of sunsets.

And here is a picture of me and my daddy during my first swim in the ocean. I liked it a lot!

Turks & Caicos

A couple of weeks ago, my mommy and daddy and Doll and Granddad took me to Turks & Caicos. It was my first trip out of the country. I even had my own passport. We stayed for a week at a really neat resort that was right on what my Granddad said was the prettiest beach he had ever seen. The only thing I know for sure is that it was really, really hot and I don't think I like hot weather. I had to wear hats all the time and daddy had to go out to the beach early to make sure we got a shelter for me to sit under on the beach.

I took lots of naps on the beach and I played with my monkey and my froggy. I made lots of girlfriends, as all the ladies wanted to say high to me. I went for my first swim in an ocean and my first swim in a pool, all in the same week. I really liked the ocean, but I wasn't a big fan of the pool (but that probably had most to do with my daddy). Doll took me out in the water and set me down in the shell break. Daddy told me I had lots of shells in my swim diaper when he changed me.

I can't wait until I am big enough to really enjoy the beach. I will build sandcastles with my daddy and look for sand dollars and starfish. I think I will really like the beach when I am a big boy.

The pictures are all from Turks & Caicos.

Granddad Cash's Surprise Party

On Monday, Doll, mommy, and Tara threw a surprise party for my Granddad Cash's 60th birthday. Lots of people came to the party, including my friend Sam and his parents. Before Granddad got there, I was the center of attention for my great-grandparents and friends of my Granddad. I even had my picture taken with Mr. Dio.
The party was so cool. Doll had it catered by Ocean Zen, my Granddad's favorite restaurant in Springfield. Mommy went through all of mommy and daddy's old pictures, and they blew up two pictures to larger than life size -- including one picture of my Granddad in a swim suit and tank top at a golf course in Hawaii and one picture of my granddad as a baby holding a Dr. Pepper bottle. When my Granddad was little, his parents and grandparents owned and worked in a Dr. Pepper bottling company. Mommy and Doll also had a bunch of pictures of my Granddad wearing his swim suits blown up to two feet tall. Everyone seemed to think those pictures were pretty funny.

Mommy put me to bed at 7, so I don't know what happened after that. But the pictures are all from Granddad's surprise party.

My six month pictures

A few weeks ago I had my six month pictures taken. My mommy and daddy were in some of the pictures with me. I thought it was pretty fun -- I think I would make a good model. Most of the pictures came out great. My daddy has the link to the professional pictures -- if you want to see the pictures, please e-mail my daddy. Here are a few pictures of the photo session.

Newspaper star

On Saturday, my mommy and daddy took me to an art auction for CASA that featured art by children and for children and other art. We had a lot of fun and a newspaper photographer must have thought I was really cute. She took a bunch of pictures of me and sure enough on Sunday afternoon, Doll (my grandma Cash's new name) called my mommy and told her that a picture of me and my daddy was in the Springfield paper. Also, the newspaper reporter quoted my mommy. My daddy is trying to figure out how to link the picture to this e-mail. He's not so good at technical things. Here is the link to the article. I am a superstar!!!!

Mini Mardi Gras

My mommy and daddy also hosted a mini Mardi Gras party for me and my friend Sam (and Sam's parents, of course). We had so much fun. The grown ups had red beans and rice and King Cake and me and Sam wore all the beads. Mommy and daddy taught me a new saying -- "throw me something mister." These are a few pictures of our mini Mardi Gras party.

Oklahoma City

In late February, my mommy, daddy and I visited our friends G, Shawn, and baby Declan in Oklahoma City. We had a lot of fun. I got to try new things like a jumping toy that hung from the ceiling. Declan pulled on the jumper and spun me around. It was so fun. But I got dizzy. Really, really dizzy.

Here is a picture of me and Declan. I am holding my froggy. Froggies are my favorite toys right now.

Declan and I played and played. Declan let me play on his playmat and he had a bunch of toys I had never seen before. Our mommies also took pictures of us laying on a pretty quilt that Declan's grandma made for him.

We also took a bath in Declan's rubber ducky bath tub. It was my first bath in a bathtub. So much fun.

Declan really likes to play in his exersaucer. Although he is only a month older than me, he is really cool. I can't wait until I'm big like Declan.

Oklahoma City was so much fun. Aunt G and Uncle Juan and Little D -- Thanks for letting us visit.

Better late than never -- Satterwhite family Christmas pictures

I know, I know. It has been forever since I've written. It's all my daddy's fault. He's been working too hard and he hasn't gotten us a new computer yet. It turns out that the old computer got its brain (really, its ethernet card) fried in the ice storm.

Anyways, on to the good stuff. I am growing up fast. While I still haven't entirely embraced the fine art of rolling over, I am holding my head up really well, sitting up, and learning to stand with help.

I will post more pictures this week, but here are some pictures from the Satterwhite family Christmas. The first picture is of everyone who came to visit me the week of Christmas. I met my Uncle Rhye and Aunt Jessica. My Mimi is holding me and my PaPa was there too. He looks a lot like Santa Claus with no hair. And my mommy and daddy were there for Christmas too.

Here is a picture of me and my Aunt Jessica and my Mimi. We had so much fun. They played with me and they gave me a whole bunch of presents.

Here is one of the presents my Mimi gave me -- it's a miniature football from my daddy's high school -- Pendleton High School. Of course my daddy wants me to play football, but only if I want to play football. Daddy has already told me that if I don't want to play, he won't make me play. But, of course, I will want to play.

In addition to the football, my Mimi and PaPa also gave me a set of toys called baby's first instruments. One of the instruments was a miniature trumpet. Maybe I can play football and be in the band. My daddy was once in the band. He was the worst trumpet player of all time. At least that's what he said. My mommy was in the orchestra. She was a very good violin player.

Let's hope I got my musical talent from my mommy (those of you who have ever heard my daddy sing are nodding your head in agreement right now).

Finally, here is a picture of my Mimi and PaPa holding me. I must have smiled at them. Lately, I'm smiling all the time. I am a very happy baby.
I will be back soon with more pictures!
