Happy 1st Birthday! It is hard to believe you are already a year old! Although much has happened in a year, it seems like I was just visiting you and your Mommy and Daddy in the hospital right after you were born. I remember the day. I was working at the church, and I got a message from you Daddy that you had come into the world! I was so excited and left work as soon as possible to meet you. You are such a special little guy to me, and I adore your Mommy too. She has been a very special friend to me for many years. I hope you have a very happy first birthday! I sure wish I could be there to celebrate with you. I will be praying for you. God has such great plans in store for you, and I am excited to see all that He will do with your life! love, Becky

Happy first birthday! I was your dad's roommate in law school and, even though we don't see each other often now, we remain great friends. I saw your dad a few weeks ago, and sent some UNC Tar Heel stuff for you. I know he wants you to grow up a big Tar Heel fan, and I will do what I can to help make that happen. You are a very lucky fellow, with great folks. I hope your birthday is wonderful.

Happy First Birthday Graham!
Steve and I were your Mum and Dad's neighbours when they lived in the Valentine neighbourhood in Kansas City. Steve and your Dad worked on a few house projects together, because all of the homes in the area are quite old, many of them more than 100 years. Your Mum and Dad were great neighbours and friends, and we were so happy to hear of the day you came into the world. I can't believe how the time has flown, it's already your first birthday, with many more happy birthdays to come.

Happy first birthday, Graham! This is a very, very big day. Your much older and wiser friend Declan, who just turned one 27 days ago, recommends being as loud, funny, and messy as you like especially when it comes to eating cake. How amazing that you and Declan arrived in the same month?!? As you know, your mom is quite fabulous. I am incredibly blessed by her friendship. Dear Graham,
If you're anything like your folks, it's quite possible that you may be able to read this by your next birthday. But let's just take a moment to enjoy this first birthday. I know we haven't had much time to get to know eachother yet, but I want you to know and never forget that I am in your corner. No matter what the need, great or small, I'll stand beside you in your life and do all I can. Your parents and grandparents have been incredible influences in my life since I was 6 years old.
Graham, this birthday, I want you to know something. Psalm 127 says that you, you Graham Satterwhite, are a heritage from the Lord, from God Himself. And that you are a reward from Him and that your mom and dad are blessed because of you. I know they agree.

During your first year of life, I got to meet you only once - and you slept the whole time, little stinker! It's been really fun to read and see how fast you've grown in twelve short months. It looks like you've been a very busy boy and have lots of family and friends that just love you to pieces.
