The Lost Key, part one

Last week, mommy and daddy took me to the Lost Key in Florida. The island's real name is Perdido Key, but daddy kept calling it the lost key. He told me that when I go to Kindergarten (and learn Spanish), I will understand. Anyway, we went to visit my mommy's best friend from law school, Erin, and her family. We had so much fun. I hung out with Mr. Kyle and Jack, Luke and Emilie. You may remember Jack, Luke and Emilie from our visit to New Orleans last fall. Jack is 4 years old and Luke and Emilie are 22 month old twins. We were at the Lost Key for four days and we went to the beach every single day. I love the beach. I played with buckets and shovels and I even ate sand. I ate a lot of sand.
Jack was very fun to play with. He let me borrow lots of his toys and he gave me hugs. I like him a lot. He even let me play with his new garbage truck. It made horn sounds and talked out loud.
Sometimes I like to try to grab the camera when mommy is taking my picture. In this picture, I look like I am trying to fly. The picture also gives you a good view of my very blonde hair!
Luke also was a very fun playmate. He is full of energy and he is very loud! His favorite word is "jump" and he likes to jump up and down when saying jump. He also shared his toys with me.
My daddy took me out in the water. It was sooooo fun. It wasn't even cold -- it felt a little like my bathtub at home. But it was very salty. When the waves came in, they splashed me and even hit my face. But my hair didn't get wet, because I was wearing a blue hat like my daddy's hat.
Daddy and mommy and me went on walks in the mornings. I got to ride in the carrier and I saw big birds -- daddy called them long necks, and I saw shells and runners and the sunrise. It was so much fun.
Stay tuned for part two of the Lost Key adventure! Who knows, there might even be a pirate ship....
